What if you were a superhero?

Well, which one would you choose? Normally we don’t dress alike, but our Superman T-shirts inspired us to take a selfie and then think about the possibilities.

Do you want to save the world, pull people from burning buildings, or rescue kittens from trees? Or maybe you are looking for super abilities, like infinite wisdom, unlimited strength or health. You might choose to leap a tall building with a single bound or see right through BS with your intuitive Xray vision. The spectrum is infinite.

Bill: Time, that’s the ticket. I want to be able to time travel. That way I get infinite “do-overs” until I get it right. Like in the movie “Ground Hog Day” with Bill Murray. He kept repeating a 24-hour day over until he got it right. Persistent little bugger!

Sheri: Hm, think about Tom Cruise in “Edge of Tomorrow” where he gets stuck in a time loop and must keep going back into a war zone and ends up dying over and over until he gets it right. I don’t think time travel is for me.

Bill: On second thought, maybe no time travel: I probably should work on time management before I tackle time travel 😊. I’ll start working on getting just a bit better every day at something. Where did I put that list so I can write this down? Oh, well, I’ll get to it later…wait—isn’t procrastination a superpower?

So, there’s lots to consider with being a superhero, and after further thought, we decided that today’s world already seems to demand superhuman performance from all of us.  We need to continually learn new things (especially technology!), express social skills that are savvy, empathetic and able to evolve; maintain enough physical stamina to sustain the pace of multitasking and have enough visionary logic to untie a complex plot before the antimatter hits the fan. Simultaneously, we must also keep a moral constant paired with an ability and willingness to keep all promises, while bombarded with a barrage of incoming multichannel information.

Bill: Phew! Reminds me of our article  Always Have a Plan

On further thought, we think we’re good to go—how about you?  😊
