“Simple treasures can be found when you look in the right places”  (Sheri & Bill)

It was a perfect sunrise at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and we leisurely shuffled our feet through warm, shallow waves, lining our coffers with small sandy shell treasures. “Treasures?” you ask. Well, the nearby souvenir stores sure seem to think so – their shelves are lined with shells!

Bill: Not on a real treasure hunt, gathering shells. It was more of a pleasure hunt. A fun thing to do together…and remember—you know: “Shells for shelves make memories for ourselves.” 😊 

Sheri:  Exactly! When we got home and sorted through our shells, we could almost feel the sun and water on our skin, hear the sound of sea birds, and taste the salt air on our lips…that’s the real treasure of the shells – the memories we create collecting them.

For us beach bums, there are always pleasures and treasures to be found on  beaches at sunrise, when we look together in the right places.
