"Today I will be happier than a bird with a French fry.” And that’s pretty happy! Happiness is a conscious choice that positively impacts our lives.
Bill: I took this shot one early summer evening on Ocean City, NJ. Boardwalk. Hold a French fry in the air and you can make a seagull happy and willing to pose for food.
If happiness were a stock, I’d invest in it—because everyone wants a bull market in their happy mood?
Sheri: Yikes! We flew from birds to bulls pretty quickly here!
Want some great reasons to choose happy?
· Improved Mental Health
· Stronger Relationships
· Increased Resilience
· Better Physical Health
· Enhanced Productivity
· Happy is Contagious
So how do you get to a happy place? One quick way to start is just smile, smile, smile! It’s very contagious to yourself and to those around you. Don’t be afraid to look silly. Most of the time other people will return the gesture. And you begin seeing things in a more positive light. (check out our blog article “Choose Happy” for more tips)
Ultimately, happiness is a choice that requires some thought, but well worth it—after all, you feel better and who doesn’t want more of that! By focusing on positive actions and thoughts, you can create a happier and more fulfilling life.
We choose to be happy--because life’s too short to walk around with a wedgie!
