“Get Your Butterfly On!”
We love our butterfly images created over the years. Looking at them always makes our hearts (you guessed it) flutter.
Native Americans often viewed butterflies as symbols of transformation, hope, and rebirth. In Chinese culture, butterflies are symbols for freedom, earthly beauty, and love. A perfect fit, as we hope to inspire folks to be a bit like a butterfly-- “Get Your Butterfly On!”
Sheri: Even though butterflies are very small, the minute I spot one, it captures my rapt attention. Likewise, I think people who are truly living their life to the fullest have an aura and glow about them and I am quickly drawn in by their inner beauty.
Bill: And butterflies are great “pollinators” —they help plants produce new seeds and support our eco system. They are also indicators that we have a healthy society. People who are living life to their potential also help “pollinate” and influence the rest of us folks. One by one...tiny but mighty.
As photojournalists, we try to use our “positivity lens” to see the pollinators. Whether entrepreneurs creating new products, artists, writers, musicians, orators…those folks who inspire us with their inner light, they are noticed and appreciated.
