Friendship is a bridge that connects us in ways we never quite expect but always appreciate. Friends are our partners in crime, our sounding boards, and our support system, all wrapped up in one perfectly imperfect package!
Sheri: Friends make life’s journey a whole lot more enjoyable. They provide safety and stability (when checking out new things and new places) and confidence (they laugh at my jokes!) to keep me moving in a forward direction. FYI I took this image from a cruise ship as we were passing under this magnificent bridge!
Bill: So here’s my bridge metaphor: just like a bridge, a good friendship can lift me up when I’m feeling low, and can keep me grounded when I stray off course (or into questionable decisions).
And let’s not forget—bridges make any trip more scenic, meaningful, and memorable. Whether we’re crossing deep rivers, shaky ground, or just trying to hop over life’s little puddles, friends are the ones who make it all worthwhile. They come in all shapes and sizes—some are tall and strong, others are more low-key but just as steady. No matter what, they help us get from one side to the other, connecting us to new adventures, opportunities, and the occasional much-needed laugh.
So, next time you find yourself feeling stuck, remember that friendship is always the bridge that will meet you halfway. And if your journey gets a little wobbly, don’t worry—true friends will be right there offering support, encouragement, and probably a few questionable jokes along the way!
