Enjoy The Ride!

Ever have dreams of flying, flying so high that you could look down through the clouds? Or so low you could see people on the beach waving in amazement? Your answer may reflect your earthly wants, needs and goals.
Dreaming of flying is said to signify your ability to conquer obstacles and have actual control over a situation to reach your goals--you know where you're going and you “boldly go where no man has gone”. Flying represents a feeling of freedom, independence, and success.
Hot air balloons were one of the first technologies allowing us mortal humans to fly (and land!) successfully. While hot air goes into a hot air balloon, it is not the hot air that enables lift off. Instead lift off is caused by the heated air becoming less dense inside the balloon than the air that is surrounding the balloon.
Necessity and desire drove these first manned balloon flights, things like military advantage, ground mapping and leisure play, to name a few. FYI, a fantastic personal benefit for the balloon passenger is the increased emotional energy you get, which in turn produces a higher level of serotonin (the hormone that promotes happiness.) Result? A great functional ride and a general sense of wellbeing!
Bill: Hot air balloons follow wind currents, and so does this photographer. Lying on my back on a grassy hillside in the flight path of a dozen or more balloons was the right place and time. Floating about 100 feet over my head, I could hear the roar of gas fired jets filling huge colorful airbags as I took pictures in amazement. Fun stuff.
Reach high for your goals and give them all the dedication and focus they need—just be sure to enjoy the ride!
