Met one night in early spring, when both their hearts were free,

From tangled webs of broken lies their eyes could finally see.

Stepped out on the dance floor, music calmed their minds.

Set his frame and held her close, felt their steps align.

Wasn’t long before they knew their hearts at last were home.

Time apart grew less and less with no desire to roam.

Love could grow and make them strong, a place they want to be.

Took her hand and said to her, “will you marry me?”

 

Each morning, he takes her ring,

Asks her “will you marry me?”

She always smiles and answers “yes” with love that he can see.

And their days seem to fly, and the years sail on by.

And time still proves their love will never die!

Married in the early fall with family at their side.

Every day is filled with song and love they cannot hide.

Place their rings as each day ends together on the stand.

When they wake they slip their rings on each other’s hand.
